I tend to take the family on an overseas trip and this year it was Hong Kong. Visiting other cities and countries I like to compare cities and hopefully bring home new ideas and perspectives. I must say we as a city have much to learn from Hong Kong particularly when Hong Kong houses 7.5 million people within it's walls. First I like to mention that I did notice their Window Cleaning methods and what I saw was somewhat prehistoric. Retails street stores tend to clean their windows using store employees who tend to use the old method of wet clothes/dry cloths. They would wet the glass and then dry it using a dry cloth which seemed to get the result. Higher windows like second/third floor they would use ladders and sometimes I saw bamboo scaffolding which is cheap, easily erected and widely used. I thought Occupational Health and Safety in Australia would have a heart attack in Hong Kong. I wondered how easily convinced the Sunstruck Window Cleaners Sydney would be to use bamboo to climb those heights? Not at all would be my guess. Window Cleaning was not a huge priority but was a necessity particularly if you wanted 7.5 million people to notice your store and business was booming. China has become one of the wealthiest nations in the world and a lot of chinese are coming into Hong Kong and inflating prices. That's one of the reasons Hong Kong is listed as one of the most expensive cities in the world. Besides Window Cleaning the other things we can learn from Hong Kong is their train system the MTR. I was really impressed with the MTR. The longest I had to wait for a train weekdays and weekends was 2 minutes. Connecting trains to another train line the longest I had to wait was 2 minutes. Could a system like this work in Sydney? Of course it could if only we got rid of Unions, lousy excuse making politicians and restructured the types of trains we used. Oh, the cost, single ticket $1.50. Traffic flowed in Hong Kong like melted gold into an iron cup. Why? Because like us they did not have traffic lights every 100 metres like in Sydney and pedestrians would use footways either underground or above the traffic. Pretty sensible. Traffic culture was calm and patient. No road rage noticed. Why? Because the chinese don't feel a false sense of entitlement when using their roads. Traffic flows, there's no stress and everyone is happy. There is a plethora of things I can discuss like petrol prices at $2.25 Litre, shopping hours until 10pm, the strict on time timetables, the great service with no attitude attached, the high density living, the taxi/cab service etc etc. Sydney has a lot to learn and a long way to go before we can label ourselves a great international

Expanding Our Services all over Sydney

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2012/03/expanding-our-services-all-over-sydney.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2012/03/expanding-our-services-all-over-sydney.html#comments

Uncategorized

Sunstruck Window Cleaning Sydney services have expanded into other servicable areas of cleaning that will assist our clients and make it more convenient reducing the amount of effort and time required when needing additional services besides Window Cleaning Sydney. Is it when your own views don't coincide with another's persons views? Is one judged to be offensive if ones own views questions another? Or are some people living their lives blindly not wanting to acknowledge that their views may be detached from everyone else. At Sunstruck Window Cleaning Sydney we hold various views on all sorts of issues ranging from effective methods in cleaning, ones believed rights, religion, society, cultural, political etc etc. We realise that people will never agree with one another views if they are different to ones own but should a service provider be held accountable for their views and be judged as a non-worthy candidate to clean one windows? Personally I think its nonsense and premature to base ones decision purely on someones held views. It reveals their ignorance and lack of understanding that any person should be judged on performance because they hold a different view to ones own. Imagine if we all held the same view on every issue. The human species would have nothing to discuss, nothing to challenge, nothing to protest against, we would be like sheep following one another. I am of the kind who has always spoken out and said what was on my mind. I don't believe in oppressing my views and I certainly don't hold back if I feel I need to ventilate myself to the world. One of the benefits of being a window cleaner is my constant interactions with people and the many various discussion I have while working. My conversations are mostly about certain issues pertaining to current affairs and peoples views on the matter. I enjoy intellectual conversations and particularly admire people who are not afraid to express their views. I can't stand half witted comments that lay judgement on ones views. I feel if people are going to make comments on blog sites, on review webpages etc then they should back up their comments and not hide behind their comments. So please express and don't judge. If a person really likes the customer service or the food where they have just eaten they will normally give the person or business a positive review and the business or person appreciates the nice gesture however, if there is a tiny slip up with a meal or the sales person doesn't get around to acknowledge a customer waiting for service due to being busy with other customers that business will get a negative review. It's a system that is embraced by some and hated by others. This blog will concentrate on those consumers who will go out of their way to ventilate their frustrations and bitterness online about a particular business or service that they have used and perceived as bad. Before I go into the negative rating and reviews I must ask "Why is there not a system for rating consumers"? Seems a little unfair to only rate and review businesses and services. Is the online rating system dismissing the fact that there are some consumers who lie, deceive, steal, exaggerate, make false claims, cry poor, have unrealistic expectations, who are indecent, racist, prejudice, judgemental, opinionated, extremists, superficial, lacking confidence, obese, poor communicators, lack self esteem, lacking in empathy, insecure and have self belief that the sun shines out of their arse? I think the answer is yes. The online rating system only favours consumer reviews and neglects a system whereby businesses and services can have there say about certain abhorrent consumers. I believe I speak for all businesses when I say some consumers are painful. The reason being is some consumers think they deserve perfection because they are paying for it. A western ideology that has become an idea that people/consumers have certain rights to great service, clothing, food, clean hotel sheets is more of a privilege rather than a consumer right. I don't doubt that there are some shonky businesses out there and some consumers do receive bad items or service. I personally have been a victim receiving faulty bathroom items from Renovation Boys in Sydney and having the Dept of Fair Trading dismiss my claim because I could not prove that the items were faulty prior to arrival. I'm referring to those who lack any integrity and decency about themselves and feel so self important by giving businesses a spray online in an attempt to fulfill some deranged void in their lives. These people are modern day cowards who hide behind their cyber reviews in the comfort of their homes and contribute nothing other than their inept ability to resolve their problems. This world needs less of people like you.

Judge me not.

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/judge-me-not.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/judge-me-not.html#comments

Uncategorized

As a Window Cleaner I'm happy to tell you there is very little in this world that I believe in. Listening to people that comment on political, social and cultural issues I've noticed that most of their material reflects some kind of a underlying belief that some how things were better once and with just a little effort we can set it right again. They're looking for solutions and rooting for particular results and I think this limits the tone and substance of what they say. They're talented people but they're nothing really more than cheerleaders attached to a specific wish for outcome. I DON'T FEEL SO CONFINED. I frankly don't care how it all turns out in this country or anywhere else in the world. I think the human game was up a long time ago when the high priests and traders took over and now we're just playing out the string and that is what precisely I find so amusing. The slow circling of the drain by a once promising species and the sappy ever more desperate belief in this country that there is actually some sort of Australian dream which has merely been misplaced. The decay and disintegration of this culture is astonishingly amusing if your emotionally detached from it. I have always viewed it from a safe distance knowing that I don't belong. It doesn't include me never has. No matter how you care to define it I do not identify with the local group. Planet, species, race, nation, state, religion, political party, union, clubs, associations, neighbourhood improvement committee. I have NO interest in any of it. I love and treasure individuals as I meet them. I loathe and despise the groups that they identify with and belong to. My point is to merely highlight how badly we are doing not to suggest the way we might do better. Don't confuse me with those who cling to hope. I enjoy describing how things are, I have no interest in how they ought to be. I certainly have no interest in knowing how to fix them. I sincerely believe that if you think there is a solution then you're part of the problem. My motto " Forget Hope". PS In case your wondering I'm a joyful window cleaner. I am happily married, I have a close and loving family. My business is hopping along just fine and it continues to weather through the tough economic times. I'm a personal optimist but a sceptic about all else. What may sound to some like anger is nothing really more than sympathetic contempt. I view my species with a combination of wonder and pity and I root for it's destruction. Please don't confuse my point of view with cynicism. The real cynics are the ones who tell you that everything's going to be alright.

Oh my God!!!!

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/oh-my-god.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/oh-my-god.html#comments

Uncategorized

As a window cleaner I get to see a lot of homes and the way people live. One commonality that I regularly see in homes is religious pictures, figurines and symbols of worship. When I'm cleaning their internal windows I'm surrounded by these religious gestures which is quite discomforting. I understand that religion for some is a spiritual thing and it offers hope and mental comfort. I also understand that people live their lives according to the word of their preferred God and believe that after death their soul will go to a world where they will live to eternity in paradise or something like that. But I often wonder whether these people have ever questioned their own beliefs for when it comes to lies, big-time, major league lies, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. Religion easily has the greatest lie ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good exaggerated story.
But I want you to know something, this is sincere, I want you to know, when it comes to believing in God, I really tried. I really, really tried. I tried to believe that there is a God, who created each of us in His own image and likeness, loves us very much, and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize, something is wrong.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed. Results like these do not belong on the résumé of a Supreme Being. This is the kind of shit you'd expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently-run universe, this guy would've been out on his all-powerful ass a long time ago. And by the way, I say "this guy", because I firmly believe, looking at these results, that if there is a God, it has to be a man.
No woman could or would ever fuck things up like this. So, if there is a God, I think most reasonable people might agree that he's at least incompetent, and maybe, just maybe, doesn't care. Doesn't care, which I admire in a person, and which would explain a lot of these bad results.
So rather than be just another mindless religious robot, mindlessly and aimlessly and blindly believing that all of this is in the hands of some spooky incompetent father figure who doesn't give a shit, I decided to look around for something else to worship. Something I could really count on.
And immediately, I thought of the sun. Happened like that. Overnight I became a sun-worshipper. Well, not overnight, you can't see the sun at night. But first thing the next morning, I became a sun-worshipper. Several reasons. First of all, I can see the sun, okay? Unlike some other gods I could mention, I can actually see the sun. I'm big on that. If I can see something, I don't know, it kind of helps the credibility along, you know? So everyday I can see the sun, as it gives me everything I need; heat, light, food, flowers in the park, reflections on the lake, an occasional skin cancer, but hey. At least there are no crucifixions, and we're not setting people on fire simply because they don't agree with us.
Sun worship is fairly simple. There's no mystery, no miracles, no pageantry, no one asks for money, there are no songs to learn, and we don't have a special building where we all gather once a week to compare clothing. And the best thing about the sun, it never tells me I'm unworthy. Doesn't tell me I'm a bad person who needs to be saved. Hasn't said an unkind word. Treats me fine. So, I worship the sun. But, I don't pray to the sun. Know why? I wouldn't presume on our friendship. It's not polite.
I've often thought people treat God rather rudely, don't you? Asking trillions and trillions of prayers every day. Asking and pleading and begging for favors. Do this, gimme that, I need a new car, I want a better job. And most of this praying takes place on Sunday His day off. It's not nice. And it's no way to treat a friend.
But people do pray, and they pray for a lot of different things. And I say, fine. Pray for anything you want. Pray for anything, but what about the Divine Plan?
Remember that? The Divine Plan. Long time ago, God made a Divine Plan. Gave it a lot of thought, decided it was a good plan, put it into practice. And for billions and billions of years, the Divine Plan has been doing just fine. Now, you come along, and pray for something. Well suppose the thing you want isn't in God's Divine Plan? What do you want Him to do? Change His plan? Just for you? Doesn't it seem a little arrogant? It's a Divine Plan. What's the use of being God if every run-down shmuck with a two-dollar prayerbook can come along and fuck up Your Plan?
And here's something else, another problem you might have: Suppose your prayers aren't answered. What do you say? "Well, it's God's will." "Thy Will Be Done." Fine, but if it's God's will, and He's going to do what He wants to anyway, why the fuck bother praying in the first place? Seems like a big waste of time to me! Couldn't you just skip the praying part and go right to His Will? It's all very confusing.
For those of you who look to The Bible for moral lessons and literary qualities, I might suggest a couple of other stories for you. You might want to look at the Three Little Pigs, that's a good one. Has a nice happy ending, I'm sure you'll like that. Then there's Little Red Riding Hood, although it does have that X-rated part where the Big Bad Wolf actually eats the grandmother. Which I didn't care for, by the way. And finally, I've always drawn a great deal of moral comfort from Humpty Dumpty. The part I like the best? "All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again." That's because there is no Humpty Dumpty, and there is no God. None, not one, no God, never was.

Give children the chance to be children.

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/give-children-the-chance-to-be-children.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/give-children-the-chance-to-be-children.html#comments

Uncategorized

Something else I'm hearing everyday and getting tired of in this country is all this stupid talk I have to listen to about children. That's all you hear about anymore, children: "Help the children, save the children, protect the children." You know what I say? Stop worshiping your children!! They're getting entirely too much attention. And I know what some of you are thinking: " Jesus, he's not going to attack children, is he?" Yes he is! He's going to attack children. I know what I'm talking about. And I also know that all you boring single dads and working moms, who think you're such heros, aren't gonna like this, but somebody's gotta tell you for your own good: your children are overrated and overvalued, and you've turned them into little cult objects. You have a child fetish, and it's not healthy. And don't give me all that weak shit, "Well, I love my children. Everybody loves their children; it doesn't make you special. What I'm talking about is this constant, mindless yammering in the media, this neurotic fixation that suggests that somehow everything has to revolve around the lives of children. It's completely out of balance. Listen, there are a couple of things about kids you have to remember. First of all, they're not all cute. In fact, if you look at 'em real close, most of them are rather unpleasant looking. And a lot of them don't smell too good either. The little ones in particular seem to have a kind of urine and sour-milk combination that I don't care for at all. The sooner you face it the better off your going to be. Second, premise: not all chidren are smart and clever. Got that? Kids are like any other group of people: a few winners, a whole lot of losers! This country is filled with loser kids who simply...aren't...going anywhere! And there's nothing you can do about it. You can't save them all. You can't do it. You gotta let 'em go; you gotta cut 'em loose; you gotta stop over-protecting them, because your making 'em too soft. Today's kids are way too soft. : : : For one thing, there's too much emphasis on safety and safety equipment: childproof medicine bottles, fireproof pajamas, child restraints, car seats. And helmets! Bicycle, skateboard, scooter helmets. Grown-ups have taken all the fun out of being a kid. : : : What's happened is, these baby boomers, these soft, fruity baby boomer generations, have raised an entire generation of soft, fruity kids who aren't even allowed hazardous toys, for Chrissakes! What ever happened to natural selection? Survival of the fittest? The kid who swallows too many marbles doesn't grow up to have kids of his own. Simple stuff. Nature knows best! Another bunch of ignorant bullshit about your children: school uniforms. Bad theory! The idea that if kids wear uniforms to school, it helps keep order. Hey! Don't these schools do enough damage makin' all these children think alike? Now they're gonna get 'em to look alike, too? : : : And it's not even a new idea; I first saw it in old newsreels from the 1930s, but it was hard to understand, because the narration was in German! But the uniforms looked beautiful. And the children did everything they were told and never questioned authority. Gee, I wonder why someone would want to put our children in uniforms. Can't imagine.
And one more item about children: this superstitous nonsense of blaming tobacco companies for kids who smoke. Listem! Kids don't smoke because a camel in sunglasses tells them to. They smoke for the same reasons adults do, because it's an enjoyable activity that relieves anxiety and depression. And you'd be anxious and depressed too if you had to put up with these pathetic, insecure, yuppie parents who enroll you in college before you've figured out which side of the playpen smells the worst and then fill you with Ritalin to get you in a mood they approve of, and drag you all over town in search of empty, meaningless structure: Little nippers, Cub Scouts, swimming, soccer, karate, piano, bagpipes, watercolors, witchcraft, glass blowing, and dildo practice. It's absurd. : : : They even have "play dates", for Christ sake! Playing is now done by appointment! But it's true. A lot of these striving, and parents are burning their kids out on structure. I think what every child needs and ought to have every day is two hours of daydreaming. Plain old daydreaming. Turn off the internet, the CD-ROMS, and the computer games and let them stare at a tree for a couple of hours. Every now and then they actually come up with one of their own ideas. So self-important. Everybody’s going to save something now. “Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save those snails.” And the greatest arrogance of all: save the planet. What? Are these fucking people kidding me? Save the planet, we don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet. We haven’t learned how to care for one another, we’re gonna save the fucking planet via a carbon tax?
I’m getting tired of this shit. I’m tired of fucking Earth Day, I’m tired of these self-righteous environmentalists, these white, bourgeois liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren’t enough bicycle paths. People trying to make the world save for their Volvos. Besides, environmentalists don’t give a shit about the planet. They don’t care about the planet. Not in the abstract they don’t. You know what they’re interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat. They’re worried that some day in the future, they might be personally inconvenienced. Narrow, unenlightened self-interest doesn’t impress me.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine. The PEOPLE are fucked. Difference. The planet is fine. Compared to the people, the planet is doing great. Been here four and a half billion years. Did you ever think about the arithmetic? The planet has been here four and a half billion years. We’ve been here, what, a hundred thousand? Maybe two hundred thousand? And we’ve only been engaged in heavy industry for a little over two hundred years. Two hundred years versus four and a half billion. And we have the CONCEIT to think that somehow we’re a threat? That somehow we’re gonna put in jeopardy this beautiful little blue-green ball that’s just a-floatin’ around the sun?
The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through all kinds of things worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles…hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worlwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages…And we think some plastic bags, and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference? The planet isn’t going anywhere. WE ARE!
We’re going away. Pack your shit, everyone. We’re going away. And we won’t leave much of a trace, either. Thank God for that. Maybe a little styrofoam. The planet will be here and we’ll be long gone. Just another failed mutation. Just another closed-end biological mistake. An evolutionary cul-de-sac. The planet’ll shake us off like a bad case of fleas. A surface nuisance.
You wanna know how the planet’s doing? Ask those people at Pompeii, who are frozen into position from volcanic ash, how the planet’s doing. You wanna know if the planet’s all right, ask those people in Japan or New Zealand or a hundred other places buried under thousands of tons of earthquake rubble, if they feel like a threat to the planet this week. Or how about those people in Kilowaia, Hawaii, who built their homes right next to an active volcano, and then wonder why they have lava in the living room.
The planet will be here for a long, long, LONG time after we’re gone, and it will heal itself, it will cleanse itself, ’cause that’s what it does. It’s a self-correcting system. The air and the water will recover, the earth will be renewed, and if it’s true that plastic is not degradable, well, the planet will simply incorporate plastic into a new pardigm: the earth plus plastic. The earth doesn’t share our prejudice towards plastic. Plastic came out of the earth. The earth probably sees plastic as just another one of its children. Could be the only reason the earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn’t know how to make it. Needed us. Could be the answer to our age-old egocentric philosophical question, “Why are we here?” Plastic…asshole.
So, the plastic is here, our job is done, we can be phased out now. And I think that’s begun. Don’t you think that’s already started? I think, to be fair, the planet sees us as a mild threat. Something to be dealt with. And the planet can defend itself in an organized, collective way, the way a beehive or an ant colony can. A collective defense mechanism. The planet will think of something. What would you do if you were the planet? How would you defend yourself against this troublesome, pesky species? Let’s see… Viruses. Viruses might be good. They seem vulnerable to viruses. And, uh…viruses are tricky, always mutating and forming new strains whenever a vaccine is developed. Perhaps, this first virus could be one that compromises the immune system of these creatures. Perhaps a human immunodeficiency virus, making them vulnerable to all sorts of other diseases and infections that might come along. And maybe it could be spread sexually, making them a little reluctant to engage in the act of reproduction.

Well, that’s a poetic note. And it’s a start. And I can dream, can’t I? See I don’t worry about the little things: bees, trees, whales, snails. I think we’re part of a greater wisdom than we will ever understand. A higher order. Call it what you want. Know what I call it? The Big Electron. The Big Electron…whoooa. Whoooa. Whoooa. It doesn’t punish, it doesn’t reward, it doesn’t judge at all. It just is. And so are we. For a little while.

Where are our rights?

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/where-are-our-rights.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/where-are-our-rights.html#comments

Uncategorized

It seems that the peaceful act of protesting is a right only held by ones own belief. The protestors in Sydney found that out today as police stepped in and ended the peaceful "Occupy Sydney" protest with their brutal unnecessary force. The laws of local council forbids the act of occupying premises around the Sydney City area and so the protestors had to be removed by the strong arm of our Government reinforcing that we as the people of a democratic society only have the right to do as we are told by our laws.
Let me tell you about rights. There's no such thing as rights. They're imaginary. We made 'em up. Rights are an idea. They're just imaginary. But if you think you do have rights, let me ask you this, where do they come from? People say, 'they come from god. They're god given rights.' Awww fuck, the god excuse. The last refuge of a man with no answers and no argument, 'It came from god'. Anything we can't describe must have come from god. Personally, if your rights came from god, he would've given you the right for some food everyday, and he would've given you the right to a roof over your head.
But let's say it's true. Let's say that god gave us these rights. Why would he give us a certain number of rights? The Bill of Rights of this country has 10 stipulations. Okay, 10 rights. And apparently god was doing sloppy work that week because we've had to ammend the bill of rights an additional 17 times. So god forgot a couple of things like slavery. Just fuckin' slipped his mind.
But let's say, god gave us the original 10. He gave the British 13. The British bill of rights has 13 stipulations. The Germans have 29, the Belgians have 25, the Swedish have only 6, and some people in the world have NO RIGHTS AT ALL. What type of a fuckin' god damn god given deal is that? NO RIGHTS AT ALL? Why would god give different people in different countries a different number of rights? Boredom? Amusement? Bad arithemetic? Doesn't seem like divine planning to me. Sounds more like human planning. Sounds more like one group trying to control another group. In other words, business as usual in Australia.
Sooner or later, the people in this country are going to realize the government doesn't give a fuck about them. The government doesn't care about you, or your children, or your rights, or your welfare or your safety. It simply doesn't give a fuck about you. It's interested in its own power. That's the only thing. Keeping it, and expanding it wherever possible.Personally, when it comes to rights, I think one of two things is true: either we have unlimited rights or we have no rights at all." I'm going with the later.
So next time someone says "Hey, I have the right to say what I want to say" . Then your response can be" I don't like your opinion so I have the right to shoot you".

Google advertising gives me the shits!

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/google-advertising-gives-me-the-shits.html

http://www.sunstruck.com.au/1/post/2011/10/google-advertising-gives-me-the-shits.html#comments

Uncategorized

Advertising online has become a huge phenomenon with most businesses taking on the challenge and cost to get themselves known and visible to the consumer through the online media. Sunstruck Window Cleaning became online savvy a few years ago and has never considered paper advertising since. Many other window cleaning businesses have also taken up online advertising and probably spend a large chunk of their earnings to advertise with Google. As a search engine, Google takes the lead for searches and many consumers/customers will use Google to find a particular service ie Window Cleaning Sydney. What people don't realise is that window cleaners spend years getting their business visible on the all important first page of Google. It takes time to get on the first page of Google and not to mention the exorbitant cost involved with getting on the first page. The reason is that customers/consumers will most likely choose a business that is on that first page and are more likely to choose a business that is ranked 1 - 4 on the top page of Google. Why? Who Knows? We all have our theories. Mine is that people are to lazy to scroll down the page. This page placement takes such precedence for many businesses that they will spend big to get on the first four ranking position. But having spend time and money to get there does not mean you are guaranteed those important ranking positions because Google likes to play God and make things extremely difficult for businesses. Google will make their algorithm as complicated as they possibly can so businesses will spend more money to keep their business between the 1-4 ranking position. Google will also just for kicks shuffle around rankings by introducing various other media ports so you will need to spend more money to keep afloat. Personally, I hate what online advertising has become. At least with print advertising you pay an annual/monthly/weekly fee and your ad remains in that position for its entirety. " Google, you suck me dry of my hard earned profits for which they are little in comparison and I hate you for it. I can't wait for the day when someone designs an online tool that will compete with your business model and suck you and your shareholders dry".
